    Amy Theisen joined Edward Jones’ Client Needs Research team in 2021. She is the Senior Strategist for Estate, Legacy and Charitable and leads the Estate, Legacy, and Charitable analyst team within Client Needs Research. The Client Needs Research team develops and communicates advice and guidance for client needs, including retirement, education, preparing for the unexpected and leaving a legacy. Amy is a member of the Investment Policy Committee's (IPC) U.S. Client Needs Subcommittee ("CNSC"), which provides oversight of IPC financial planning advice and guidance for the U.S.

    Amy has over 25 years of experience in the financial industry. Prior to joining Edward Jones, Amy was a Senior Director of Planning for The Wells Fargo Private Bank. Previous roles at Wells Fargo included national, regional, and individual Wealth Planning positions.

    She is a contributor to Edward Jones Perspective and has been quoted in various publications like Financial Planning and USA Today.

    Amy graduated from Marquette University in 1994 with a bachelor’s degree in business administration, with an accounting specialization. She earned a Master of Accounting degree with a taxation focus from the University of Kansas in 1996.  Amy has earned the CFP® and CPA certifications.

    Amy and her husband, Tim, have three children: Tim, Matt, and John.
